Alright I have a kick IX404 amplifier, due to buying a new car 99 Magna, I have sold off most of my old system and started to buy new components for my new system. I have just installed a new head unit, Sony CDX M670 (very nice) and it has an output voltage of 5.5 volts (high). Now I don't know if the IX404 can take advantage of this voltage, I have read up on it and it says that if you use the high level input it can have input voltages upto 10V. Looking at the amp, it looks like a weird connection none to which I have seen before, how do I use this connection and where will I get the neccessary lead to do so? Any help appreciated
Cheers
Paul

Got any pics of this input?

Usually high inputs are speaker wire inputs..

It will be some time before I can get picks but it definately is not speaker wire it is rectangular shaped. Maybe Aussiemagna can give a better description as he is trying to sell one of these amps

i think i know wat ya mean,
but im sure they are used only wen you dont have rca outputs from yur cdplayer

the weird shape could be so that a plug can go into it, then from that u hook it up into speakers or something, cant remember off hand,
had an amp years ago with a feature like that

Dude - u r in luck!!!

I just happen to install a Kicker KX600.4 last weekend using RCA's so i have the high power input adaptor wires sitting at home not in use - now i am assuming they are the same as what you are looking for considering it is the same brand of amp!!

If u want you can have mine - i can drop them off to you sometime this week if u like and if they aren't the right ones - well - worth a try!!

PM me if u r keen - but i am sure i have the ones you need - and i don't need them!! they are just sitting in my shed (the amp is about 4 weeks old so teh plugs are brand new!!)
