Hey guys im the owner of a tf sports love my car had it since it was just one year old.
At the risk of sitting there and playing with engine mods and such on my tf sports coz she gas done a little over 273k i have decided to leave it bog stock. asides cosmetics that is.how much do u guys reckon i would pay for a nice clean tj series one or 2 with just over 100k?? am looking for a second car and love the sports models .We all know the origanil was no quicker than an exec but the tj offered same performance as the vrx did so i might stick the engine mods i have on a younger dare i say it better model?? thanks guys if u guys know of one going round at a great price let us know.would love 2 sitting in my garage.:)

lol I got a 2001 TJ base exec recently, it was cheap and has 111,000 Km on it, but it certainly wasn't "nice and clean".

Paid $1,580 for it, with hail damage and in need of a repaint. The interior and engine are in perfect condition. If you are not afraid of a bit of work, look out for other hail damaged cars on eBay, etc.

BUT if you want a TJ sports, low Km and pristine in every respect, expect to search long and hard, and pay top dollar. Dealers in Adelaide sell TJ execs with good body work, interior but with more than 200,000 km on them, for $6K. I imagine these would need new timing belt, water pump, etc.

A low Km Sports would cost maybe, at a guess, $7,000 to $8,000 ?? But then again, if someone has a pristine low Km TJ Sports why would they want to sell it? lol

You can buy my car for 10k with only 30k on the engine and lots of nice mods :)

There is a member, vrx_my02 who has a wasp yellow VRX for sale, has just done the complete 100k service and is immaculate, give him a PM an you may have yourself a very immaculate and somewhat rare car as not many wasp yellow ones were made

I was looking for the same thing when my TF sports was written off courtesy of a B-Double. Ended up getting a 135,000km TJ VRX from a mitsubishi dealer for 9990 with a years rego chucked in. I looked at one in Knox good condition but 165000 km on it for 7999. There aren't many 10 year old cars with low k's.

i picked my 5 speed manual '00 Sports with 103,000 on it a year and a half ago for 7999, and that was from a dealer. be patient and something will pop up

And probably the only V6 SI ever made in Pacific Blue (there would be a few more, but not many). You certainly have a very rare car when it comes to colour.

I think it was 60 made?

50 yellow VR-X's were made. Only 3 came with manual and the sunroof. TJ Series II with standard VR-X features.

But yellow is probably not the rarest colour on the VR-X TJ series. Flame Red is the rarest, easily less than 50 built. Same with Pacific Blue.
