you won't sacrifice power, no matter what tyre pressure you run, only grip and safety are your issues :)

on my old 4x4, I was advised not to run under 15psi off road or 8psi on beach sand or I'd risk popping the tyre off the rim. Since you're not going over rocks and rutts and things, you might be safe as low as 10psi.

The thing to do is take a compressor and try a few different pressures, hopefully you'll get enough runs to work out what's best because what works for someone with an 18" wheel will be different for 15 and 16" wheels, and even different tyres might work optimally at different pressures.
I'm sure you'll have fun experimenting - I did and got to find out if manual shifting is quicker than auto shifting and if the inlet snorkel makes a difference. Neither had more than 0.05 second impact.

Cheers, Graham.

... 26-28 PSI on normal roads?

If so that's dangerously low.

I run 38-40.

Yah it's probably that. That being said my brother's Audi A4 was running 22-24 PSI with nothing but highway driving in Texas. Bloody idiot lol

hopefully ill see you done there tomoz then but on topic, some people reckon that you should just have normal tyre pressure unless you're running like sub 10's altho i wouldnt know if its true or not
