hey everyone,

cleaned the engine today after changing some seals about 2 months ago, so i could se if there was any fresh oil leaks. engine is the 6g72

after the regular degreaser, then gerny from a distance, the car wont fire, there is no spark. i have checked the dist and all connections, all of them were dry.

other funny thing is if i crank it for 5 seconds or more, the check engine light comes on. im guessing its some thing to do with the crank angle sensor, but if anone has any ideas please let me know..

Check that nothing has come off, conection wise and let the car stand in the sun for a while.

Its probably water in somwhere and it should dry out.

thanks olfart, but she all fixed now. i dinked me crank angle sensor, just had to whip down to the wreckers and swap her over. water ran down where the overflow for the water pump (must have had too much collect in the valley of the v) is and got in it, i bet if i let her dry out it would work but i need ol faithfull tonight. i also got the seal that goes on the timing belt covers. it was one of the "extra left overs" from when i changed the timing belt last time......lol
