Can anyone help with information on roof racks for 3rd gen sedan. What do you guys use. Just bought a dinghy I want to carry on the roof and want to be sure not to damage my car. The weight of the dinghy is not the issue, it is the best attaching roof rack I am after. Question for those of you with wagons fittied with factory rails, are they noisey?

I managed to get a secondhand Rola rack at a garage sale for $20 which is basically 2 bars which clamp to the door rail - better explained by viewing at: http://www.shop1auto.com.au/Roofrack_vehicle_fitments/Mitsubishi_Magna.html It will carry 50KG but as it's secondhand and 10 years old, the pads are a bit hard and may possibly scratch the paint so I've put carpet under them.

I have some geniune nice looking WHISBAR PRO RAK roof bars i paid 300 dollars for that will do the job. If you want to get permanant use out of them its worth spending extra dollars.
I have only used them twice and dont have a need for them any more . they are as new.I am in NSW Central coast
