Hey guys,
Just been doin a bit of research on what subs to get for my car. Ive been going to JBHIFI and autobarn. I am leaning in towards getting the 12" Orion Cobalt sub package at autobarn which includes 500W 12" sub, a basic 300w 2 channel amp and a basic wiring kit all for $400.

Any recommendations before i jump in and grab these?

Cheers

a mate of mine got that set up a few months back, it actually sounds quite good (considering most amps are around the $400 mark) definitely a bargain, id say go for it m8!

id rather buy some quailty 2nd hand gear than buy orion, there just not what the orignial orion was. i had 2 old school orion xtr1000 subs n a hcca orion amp which was great but compared to the crap orion of today its just sad. look around, theres awsome gear on the net which can be had for a steel!

Does that price include the sub box?? If it does & your only looking for very basic sub set up I would go with it if your happy to but I personally would look for better 2nd hand gear in that price range.. Just a quick check on www.mobileelectronics.com.au/forums/ & i found Alpine 12" Type-R sub $200 & Alpine monoblock amp $ 180..

I wouldn't bother buying new gear unless you have a lot of cash to burn
