Greetings All.
Today, Damien finished helping me install my new H/U. BUT I have encounted a problem. It seems the circuit that the parkers and dash lights are on keeps failing and the fuse keeps blowing. Ive replaced it MANY times (3-4), and the same thing keeps happening. No parkers and no dash lights. (Although i must admit, it is an AWSOME install, nice and clean! :D )
Thoughts Anyone?

did you hook the illumination wire up or leave it dangling? could be that

I terminated the illumination/rheostat wire and insulated it, same as we did in my car.

you are not trying to earth the H/U through the earth of the parkers / lights earth are you ?? that could give you issues.
but if you only touched the H/U stuff - then i doubt you should have touched any of that electrical system, and i am a little stumped as to why it would be happening, be interested to hear why though once you figure it out!!

Maybe, I dunno. Tested all the wires this morning with a multimeter and found one in the wiring loom that went to ground, so I used it. Might just ground the black wire to the chassis and be done with it.

Thats not as silly as it sounds - also make sure you scrape the paint away from the metal contact - or else the paint won't conduct and then you are left with a system that still doesn't work

Yeah, well the only difference between my HU wiring and Tonba's is the ground wire, mine is ground to bare metal, we used a Green with White stripe wire which went to ground for Tonba's.
This will one day be a great story to laugh at, I hope.

Hmm, you grounded to a white and green wire??
yeah - unattach it from that wire - and try and earth it to the body instad, just see if that stops blowing fuses - at this point of the install you are just trying all the issues - trouble shooting ;)
Let us know how you go!!

Yeah, sounds suss doesn't it. Okay, we'll ground to the chassis and terminate this Green/White wire, unless anyone else has a suggestion.
Thanks Manual.

My h/u is just grounded to some metal near the gear stick, while the little sub is grounded to the chassis in the side of the boot, found a hole there so used that to ground, works so far lol
