Feeling pretty stupid, as I caught my open door on something while reversing. Not designed to open that wide.
Anyway, I'm hunting around for a 2nd hand replacement, and someone has an '89 for parts. I've got a '91 V3000 Executive (NZ models, not sure if we use the same series designations) and if his is the earlier series, would the driver's door be a straight swap?
It'd be handy to know how compatible parts are between series as it's not always easy to find the right thing.
You'll be pleased to know my V3000 has ticked over 400,000km and apart from using a little more oil, is still going strong!

the front grill and bonnet on a V3000 are different to a TN/ TP

but the doors of a sedan may very well fit

its a matter of measuring the door height and length

check the hinges are the same spacing

Which is this your body shape ?
your 91 model may be our second gen thats a TR/TS you may need

Thanks for that. Mine's the 1st Gen body shape (early '91). With the changeover in '91 it's always been a hassle with auto shops often trying to sell me 2nd Gen parts.
I'm heading past the seller's place next week on my way to U2 (woohoo!) so he might let me drop in and do some measurements.

I feel a little embarrassed coming in here, with y'all looking after your Magnas nicely, and mine . . . well. I'm on seriously limited funds and just manage to do enough to keep her legal. Fortunately, she's so reliable that I haven't had serious mechanical expenses.
Photos coming soon, when I find the USB cable for the camera.

You know it's serious when you get the tools out to work on your car, and there's a screwdriver, a socket set . . . a hammer . . . a crowbar . . . and a rivet gun.
