Hi brothers, this is the first time I back in this forum after my baby was born 2 and a half years ago. Go to back with you buys. Just a quick question. When I parked my car in the car park, there was this fat woman run along the side of my car and her big fat hand bag had left a big long nasty paint chip on my side mirror. I am intend to remove it and repaint it. Instead of sticking all the messy masking around the unpaintable parts, is there a way to remove the outer shell of a TL side door mirror for painting?

MIRROR REMOVAL
Turn the mirror by hand so that it faces upwards, insert the
(–) driver wound with masking tape into the notched section,
and lever out to release the mirror from the bottom catches.
Remove the mirror from the upper catches by pulling downwards.

thats from the mitsubishi manual :)

This is very useful dude! Thanks. What about the outer shell? What I want is, since I am repaint my mirror, I want to install the LED side repeater at the same time. I need to know how am I gonna feed the wire through the mirror assembly without sticking the wires on the outside of the mirror assembly like the instruction said. That look really ugly and encourage arseholes to vandalize your car....... Thanks Bros!

Outer shell does not come apart, have tried in the past and ended up with broken plastic everywhere lol

The self folding ones do come apart but not our aussie ones

What colour and side mate, is a chance I may have a good one here in your colour
