Hey all i have a 2004 Mitsubishi Magna VRX and i have got a sound system i have yet to install due to finding time to....i currently have a head unit 2x 4 inch speakers 2x 6x9 speakers 2x tweeters 1x Amplifier running 4000 watt and another one running 4500 they are all eclipse its a really decent system with lots of power and i spoke to a sound system fitter at (sound in motion) and he said the 2x 4 inch's will fit but im curious to know if the new 6 inch Eclipse speakers will give out much more power? and im also wanting a GPS system have looked at getting the new touch screen eclipse system at $2000 but i won't be able to afford that so what's a good brand for a GPS system? cheers

The stock system is worth pretty much nothing. I'd be going 6" speakers in the front if you can, will sound much better than 4", and will mean you don't have to make up custom baffles like you would to fit the 4"

6" speakers will output significantly more than a pair of 4", are you sure your amps are outputting 4000 watts? Doesn't sound right to me.

I'm pretty sure 1 amplifier is running around 3500 and the other one is a bit more the whole system cost around $5,000 one is a top of the range mono block Eclipse amp the other one is just high range......but besides from all that it takes allot of wiring to run...i took it all out of my previous car took me a few days to get it all out

biggest eclipse mono on the market is rated at 1000W RMS, might put out a bit more if your lucky but certainly not that much. unless theyve released something since I last saw..

what models are the amps?

as for the speakers, screw the 4", if your amping a set of 6x9's in the back and putting a sub in, the 4" will fail in the ass. could even go 8" if you were feeling adventurous!

EA4000 is only 400 watt max, whoever told u it was 4000 is lying.
Also the 33240 is a 2ch with only 400w bridged. No where near 4000 but should still do the job nicely.
