My 03 TJ Series 2 regularly makes a clicking sound in the dash. I have noticed it mainly when the temp in the Climate Control temp gets turned down or if the temp outside the car is different to the temp inside the car even if the system is turned off.

Any ideas what the problem may be and how to fix?

Do you think this could simply be creaking noises from the dash components. My TW started this at about 3 years old, now I hear the seat creaking everytime I corner.

its not a constant sound. it will only do it when either the internal or external temp changes and only happens for a few minutes each time.

It's prob either your heater or ac switching off or on.

I've heard dash fans make a clicking noise when pushed too hard, is it a fast click or slow click?

sometimes it will click fast and slow down then suddenly stop. other times it will be a slow constant click.

i was thinking it may be something to do with the internal air vent gears slipping. reckon that might be a possibility?
