You would be better off buying an aftermarket I would think, considering that technology would be a few years old now? Although you probably would get that for a steal

as far as i am aware that is after-market, as the 'factory fitted' (never fitted at the factory to my knowledge) is the eclipse avn6000.
feel free to correct me anyone who is more knowledgable?

yeah thats my car alright, it was used by the journos for all the road tests (prolly why the motor got replaced under warranty lol)

Even the green key tag is still in my pocket.

The AVN6000 is a great unit, much more professional than anything else on offer....it pplays dvd's reversing camera...remote control...etc etc etc

I now have three of my 380's with an AVN6000

I paid $500 for the last one....the dvd was out of date...also got the unit from the show TMR380 ($400)

There is one for sale in the forum here...but a bit more than i like to pay for it....($750)

be warned every year...$300 for the sensis update DVD...and...NO SPEED CAMERA WARNINGS ...EVER

good news is you just burn a pirate copy from a torrent...but i am usually the only seed

I am a little interested in what the "Multimedia" part of it looks like.

Got any shots of that?

Also, whats the install process like? I have a GT with 6 stacker....

can i connect my iphone to if I order one from US?

I am thinking if it ends up going cheap would be worth the purchase.

just to check you understand the item in the link is NOT the same as the item blackie has, nor is it the 'factory' option

blackie... did you ever consider the avn726 - the item that replaced the 6000 in the eclipse product lineup?

Make sure it integrates with the steering wheel controls and the factory bluetooth kit.

The AVN6000 does all that out of the box....the one on Ebay? who knows.....?

interested in this, with the factory sat nav do you have to change the clock up the top to the digital one or what i've heard is you get a com error. Can someone clarify.

Wow, thats impressive. I am very intereseted. Then again, i might just intall the carpc if I go that far. Especially since it wouldnt integrate with the standard LCD screen. Other than that, i am pretty keen. But for $800, is a little over priced even if very sweet looking, so I may prefer to resintal the old carpc after all.

...have a look at post #7...the kit of shroud, clock and 2 din fascia is $200 from a dealer.

But...you do not have to change it...just change the screen with "com error" to display some other info...like outside temp etc

I need to plug in the stock display when i want to change for example all the doors opening with one clik of the remote.

(stupid dealer said it couldnt be done cause they had the MUT III on and couldnt do it)

I have an avn 6000 installed with reverse camera with a black aeropro double din kit, i reckon looks more stock than the genuine fascia as it doesn't dip in at the ends. i also still have the multi function screen still in there and just ignore the com error in the climate control screen. when funds are adequate will probably upgrade to a avn 726ea as it has bluetooth and a better ipod integration system, avn6000 is a bit hit and miss with the ipods.
And that 'multimedia centre' in maggies post is the standard issue satnav in the last of the np pajero exceeds and the special edition 'vr' zf outlanders. its a eurovox unit and is non touch screen, little white lines on on a black background are the roads during navigation, pretty poor system. have replaced heaps of these units over the years under warranty at mitsi. would recomend this system if you like getting lost :). suspect a dealer has had one of these left over after the outlander special edition and thrown it in as a sweetener to a deal.

I'm sure I saw a 380 GTL that had one fitted as factory. There are just so many options these days you want something that does everything easily and where navigation can be updated etc
