Ok, my stepdads having a bit of a problem with his stock HU in his TH Magna.
What has happened is that the stereo backlight, which is orange, is on, and permantly stays on even when the keys arent in and the car is switched off. However, when you do switch the car on to any position, the same thing occurs with the stereo and instead of playing music, the orange backlight is just on.

Any one have any ideas on why this maybe be occuring and a way to fix it other than refering to taking it out and getting a new one.

The dimmer wire must have shorted somewhere; check to see which wires are hot when key is in OFF position; there should only be 1.

lol. when i got mine i didn't have a backlight.,.. lol

When i got mine,I took it out straight away lol lol lol
