What is the recommended interval by Mitsubishi to change power steering liquid?

Never heard of anyone ever doing it.

It's not a normal service item. Only gets replaced if the steering rack needs to come off the car. Change it if you want to, though. lol

general rule of thumb it should be done every 2 years. As it heats up and cools down, the viscosity of the fluid changes. Being that the power steering on our cars is hydraulic, you could expect that burnt fluid would affect steering quality and pump life.

Right thanks... Hmmm reason im asking is because im getting screeching sound now & then when turning the wheel, perhaps it something else then.

Loose belt, low fluid level????

I'd go with what Craig O says - loose belt or low on fluid ......the first will make the belt squeal whilst the latter will squeal/screech as the pump mixes air with fluid...both are more evident on hard lock when more fluid is in the rack (reservoir is lower) and pump sucks air. The oil in the PS can virtually boil when plenty of turning is involved - some cars specify power steering oil coolers for vehicles towing caravans.

Mitsubishi hit me up for a power steering flush at 45k I think it was but I declined the offer. I think work on the same principle as the auto fluid, if it looks brown do it otherwise don't.
