It appears the its a lot worse than I first thought :headbange , The head has a crack and was pushing air into the system causing the coolant to overflow etc. Can anyone recommend where I could get a recondition engine for a (96 TE 3L V6 Auto) magna. Any idea on price would be good to.

well I have been quoted minimum 1500 but when they open it up there is likely to be more issues ie, as the car has done approx 370,000 km.

But I have also be quoted 850 for a secondhand engine with 6 months warranty. I was wondering what a reco would go for. Just trying to look at my options.

I would look at the motors Narkus2 posted, not sure if they are still running the deal but dam its cheap and it would be a brand new motor, can't go wrong there.

Prices for Reconditioning your motor will very from place to place however expect it to be at around 1800 minimum.
