Hi guys,

I don't have a 380 yet, but looking for one. So if things go right I will soon be joining as newcomer

I am in the process of buying a second hand 380, having a few questions, hopefully I can find my answer here

1/ How do I know if past services are subject to Mitsubishi warranty conditions ? The car has full log book, where services are carried out by different mechanics, not sure whether they are Mitsubishi dealers or not. Do I need to call them one by one to check out whether they are Mitsubishi dealers ? I read somewhere that the services do not need to be done at Mitsubishi dealers in order to maintain factory warranty, any approved mechanics will do. Is that correct ?

2/ The car has done more than 100.000k without having timing belt changed yet (not sure why this is not enforced by Mitsubishi mechanics). How much am I looking at to have it changed ? I am in Sydney.

Any licensed mechanic can service your car in accordance with Mitsubishi's requirements - and it will not impact warranty.

iirc theres a place in the service book that a dealer has to check the car and stamp after 3 years to extend the warranty to 5 years so get a dealer to check with mitsubishi if its been done.

providing they use genuine parts your all good with that
