I have a TF 97 wagon, the door locking system is going ape. It ramdomly flicks on/off, just why I have not yet worked out. Someone has suggested that "micro switches" in the locking system may have worn adjustments. Can I simply plug a fuse and disarm all this and only use the keys??

Could your remote be acting up?
Fuse: don't know, you would need to look at the symbols on the fuse box. I wouldn't think so though.
The doors have solenoids in them to lock/unlock, and each keyed door has a switch on the lock as well. If you were to disconnect them all, the key would lock/unlock just the door you are using the key on. All other doors would need to be locked or unlocked manually. How this would affect the immobiliser or alarm is anyone's guess.
Probably would be smarter to trace the problem and fix it, might just be your remote (if you are using one) is acting up. Take the battery out or hide it far away from the car and see how it goes. If its not that it would be one of the the lock switches. Maybe one has a poor contact at the plug or the switch is defective. To check you need to pull the offending door - probably driver's - apart and have a look. Handle needs to come off the door to change the lock switch.

99% of the time will be the door actuator on the drivers door, replace this and your issue should be solvered

Is that the large boxy thing on the lock rod or the switch on the lock itself?
Either way, should be able to find them at a wreckers. Or Madmagna can send you the right bit.

Thankyou for the advice, now I just need to get game to pull the door apart. It is raining here "a bit" about 280 mm this month. So when drier I will have a go at the door, thankyou all again, Dave.

I suspect that the 3rd gen actuators will be similar to the 2nd gen.
IF so there are rubber buffers inside to dampen the actuator stroke at the on and off positions.
Over time these buffers disintegrate. When this happens the actuator arm overtravels, this means that one or both microswitches are not actuated correctly.
Had similar problem in a KS eons ago. Car would just keep cycling the lock system.
Disconnected the actuators in turn until I found the offending one. In my case it was the front passenger door.
It is possible to pry the actuator apart. I then found some thin rubber and glued into place. Problem solved.
