Hi guys,
My TS V6 is approaching 200,000 and I need to look at getting the timing belt, pulleys etc done.
I was also told to replace the water pump at this time too.
I am not mechanical enough to attempt to do this myself, so if anyone can recommend a place to get it done in SA that would be great.
Also any idea of how much I need to sell my body for to get it done would be great too.
Cheers :)

Import all of the parts from rockauto.com in the USA and save yourself a fortune. Then find a helpful mechanic, or competent relative.

So what do I need to order? A timing kit and a water pump? Anything else I should do while I am there?
I have found a kit GATES Part # TCKWP139 PowerGrip Premium OE Timing Belt Component Kit W/Water Pump; 3 Components (1 Belt, 1 Tensioner, 0 Idlers, 1 Water Pump)
W/SOHC Eng.; W/O Housing
does this one sound right? It is only 68 odd us dollars including the water pump!!
And I found 3 listings for seals but for 3 dollars each I'd probably get one of each to make sure I got the right one

I just checked the belt I bought, the "139" at the end is the right belt for the TS V6. I ended up buying just the belt from rockauto.com as it had been done 40,000 km (I assume, by a previous owner) before but one of the seals had leaked over the belt. The one you quoted is the full kit, everything you need except the seals, but you need to dismantle the water pump off your car, as the water pump in the kit is "W/O housing". You will need the water pump gasket(s) as well, it it doesn't come in the kit.
I ended up with a Goodyear gatorback belt, seems good, I would have preferred a Gates or Dayco though.
The prices at rockauto are really cheap, but the postage adds a lot. Even if you choose the cheapest, it will still get to you in about a week. If you check local prices the US kit + postage is still about half of that. The belt cost me about $45 landed, the local Mitsu dealer told me they were "about $100".
SEALS: I just bought from the local parts shop for about $12 for the three. Don't change them if they don't leak, the crank seal is especially difficult to get right, that is where the person who did mine previously stuffed up so oil got on the belt and I had to do it again. Other people will tell you to do them regardless, its up to you.
Good luck and have fun.

I just bought the Gates timing belt kit, gates water pump w/o housing (seperate to the kit) and a dorman housing including gaskets, o rings and screws for a total of $141.99 delivered.
Ebay have the timing belt kit alone for 149.95 without delivery so I have saved myself quite a bit so far....
Now to find someone who will fit it, will speak to my sisters mechanic to see what it will cost
Thanks for your help so far MadMax

No problems. Ebay? If you search the American ebay.com, rather than the australian ebay.com.au, you can find lots of cheap car products there.
Quite an adventure. Even more adventure to come if you were to do it yourself! lol
Its a bit of a job, he will probably charge for about 6 hours labour, at a guess, if he hasn't done this job before. Took me a lot longer, but I'm just sl_o_o_o_ow. lol But then I don't pay myself anything.

There is no way I am going to do this myself.......
I can do brakes, suspension, electrics, etc, but I am way too worried I'll stuff something up doing a timing belt.
I am just gonna pay someone to do it.
LOL What's your going rate?

LOL What's your going rate?
I can't. I have no indemnity insurance. lol Nah, I'd be too concerned about stuffing up your car. If I stuff up my own car at least I only have myself to blame. lol
