Good question. My TJ just says " - - -" for distance to empty. Bit of a pain.

think it has to do with the amount of fuel you put in..those dollars only give you 15-20 liters at best, and i think there is a min you have to put in for the computer to re adjust

Do you need to reset the trip computer at all after you add petrol to the tank? (N00b question, I know. :woot:)
I would look this up in the owner's handbook, if I had one . . . . .:hmm:

The Fuel guage and the trip computer wont adjust instantly when you only put 20ish bucks / 15L in the tank.
You need to put more than approximately 20L in the tank for it to move quickly.
If you need to desperately know your DTE after only putting ~15L in the tank - you can reset it, and it will recalculate off the most recent fuel usage data.
Even that will take a little while to settle as well to give you a more true reading of what is available
Technically you dont have to reset the TC each time you FILL up - I do though, as I like (nerd at heart) to note down distance traveled and fuel used TC VS Fuel used as per the petrol pump. The TC will automatically bring itself back into line with driving style and quantity of fuel in the tank - its just faster from a full tank and you dont stress so much about the numbers dropping so fast because you know its a full tank.

Just a long press on on a function will do it.
