Hey just wondering what sized speakers any of you have managed to fit in the front doors of the 3rd gens (2001 sports) Without modifying anything or adding kicker panels Could you fit 6inch splits in?? and did you put the tweeter in the factory position ?? if you didnt where did ya put it??Thanks guys
have a look through some previous posts in the car audio threads,
i think u find all the info ya need in there bout where to put tweeters and speakers sizes,
i got 6.5" splits in mine no drams or no modifying, and my tweeters come out of the holes in the top of the dash
hey
yeah, look back on past topics, heaps of info. Some ppl seem to fit 6" in fine, and some ppl have problems with 6.5" being too small as well  anyways, i think it will be pretty hard for u to install new speakers without light modifications e.g drilling new holes for screws etc...good luck

What speakers do you have. I'm looking to get some better ones for my 3rd Gen, and most people said it requires drilling new holes or building a spacer of some sort, but I'm too lazy to do any of that.
Since your ones doesn't need any modifications to install, do you mind sharing the brand and model number? Thanks alot.

I got my 6.5 inch splits in with no dramas, all I had to do was make some new holes in the white plastic that is around where the speaker is mounted, very easy to do.

you don't even have to drill a hole just use a self tapper and screw it in
