Cannot pry transfer case from transmission. Possibly fouling upper sump. Anyone with experience on removing transfercase?

Got one here, had to hit it with a rubber mallet several times to free it initially.

I have removed the Drivers side Drive shaft, Front section of the Tailshaft , all the bolts that hold transfer case on. Do I have to remove the output shaft?

remove both sides drive shafts and output shafts... the passanger side output shaft passes through the gearbox and into the front diff (which is housed in the tranfer case)

ull never get the transfer case seperated with the passanger side output shaft in place

ull need a slide hammer with an 8mm thread on it to get them out (pretty sure its 8mm, havent done one for awhile)

Thanks Gremlin,

You need to remove all shafts, then on the pass side you will see where the shaft goes onto the trans there is the spline, there is also a 8mm 1 1.25 thread internally, connect a slide hammer and pull this shaft out, once done, undo the 6 bolts that hold the trans case on, GENTLY lever towards the RHS about 10mm and then will slide off from there
