View Full Version : Falcon Mags for Magna TJ
Hi all, would a ANZ mag for Ford Falcon wheel with 255/50/R16 tyre fix a magna TJ 2000 station wagon? The current magna tyre is 205/65/R15.

Max tyre is 245 without 5mm spacers. Im running 235/45/17 BA XR6 alloys
So it won't fit. Correct?

Pretty unlikely that the tyres will fit. Wheels will only fit if they're from an AU Falcon onwards.
You sure you got the tyre size right? It seems like a real wide tyre for a pretty small wheel?

WHat is the offset?
offset is the distance that the wheels do or dont stick out from the guards. for example you can find a mag with the same stud pattern that will fit the hub ok , but it may be a "deep dish" type that will stick out past the guards too far.

Magna offset is -49mm from memory, and the AU onward Falcon is -36mm.
I'm currently running BA Falcon 16" wheels on my TE, they fit fine with 215/60R16 tyres.
The wheels track slightly wider than Magna wheels but I think it fills the guards better and looks good.. No scrubbing & I'm running super lows!

I can tell you from experience magna to falcon offset as mentioned is 49mm and 36mm 13mm difference the stud patterns are the same.
I get away with BA offset not magna offset on a ralliart magna because the suspension arm is modded on them to give them more clearance. they put the 36mm 20" rims at first when i specifically requested 49mm and they scrubbed like F&%^K now with a base model,
or for that matter any other model other than the ralliart you can fit falcon rims provided they clear the brakes if they're alloys they will most likely clear them and i say fit em 255 wide you may depending on how low your car is get some scrubbing on the internal
placky crap external side (closest to you) what i can say tho to avoid this you simply fit 245 tyres to them im currently running 255 wide tyres on my newly purchased TJ 2003 wagon now they only scrub at full lock and its and internal closes to inside of car scrub.

Yep magna wheel offsets are 46, falcons are 35-36 (which is legal so all good there) it will bring the rim approx 10mm closer to the outer guard which is fine.
Stud pattern is the same as ours however falcons have a larger centre hub hole (the big centre hole in the middle of the wheel between the stud holes) so you'll need hub rings to reduce the hole size to 67.1mm to suit magna, any tyre shop sells them.
As far as 255 width tyre goes, its too wide for a magna although apparently some members have modified their guards to fit.
