Hey all,
Can anyone suggest how i can repair the plastic trim around the transmission eg center console trim
I have a fair few light scratched and little white pin dot chips. Is there any permanent fix that can make it look brand new etc? like the rest of the car?
ive cleaned it with soapy water and thats it for now :( and i would like a fix where i dont have to do it every week etc.
thanks

ok,
i checked your profile and see you have a 1996 TE, dont bother trying to fix it!
just go to your local wrecker they are about $15, unless its woodgrain?
im guessing if yours is a TE iw wont have the cup holders in it? just grab one from a TH or TJ with cup holders :D

i take it no one has any advice and Ill just have to take it and use it as is lol
I had cigarette burns in mine from a previous owner (2nd gen)
Bogged up the holes, sanded it all smooth (was a textured finish before), paint.

3m di-noc carbon sticker over the center console? Looks pretty good and you wouldn't have to worry bout It again! I think it's 80 bucks for a square meter

that stuff looks ideal but not sure how well i can apply it ebay selling it for around $45 , wonder how well it would apply to the cup holders etc :S

It's realllly flexible once heated! Their was a YouTube thing about it and the guy hit it with a heat gun and was able to do some crazy stuff but yeah I've never used it so It could be heaps hard! Haha. Dunno some one did it here not long ago and it looked mint!!

I had scratches repaired by the dealer on a GT Forester a couple of years ago, all he did was heat (heat gun), re-work, and rub protectant (non silicone is best) into it.
