Just been rumaging under the dash of my exec and noticed places for interior lights. Which model has the interior footwell lights, and is there a glovebox light on any third gen? More importantly, is the wiring already there to make it plug and play?

I will look at the wreckers the next time I'm there, if available I will grab some of the footwell lights and glove box light and switch and hope the wiring is there on the exec. lol

Series 1 or 2

If a Series 2 all you need is there, just install the glove box light switch, plug in footwell light globe holders and you are up and running

It's a Series one update, August 2001. Sounds like I might have to do some wiring up then.

2 gen are a treasure trove for the footwell lights...even the difusers work and fit, though there is no need, again, second gen for the glovebox switch and lights....remove whole of glove box to access switch which is screwed into rail behind..the whole loom will come off in one bit..

if the wiring isnt there...splice into the interior light circuit on the a-pillar and use both wires for the footwells..gee..go the whole hog and get a key hole light bulb holder ,any t5 and wire that up as well...pm me for more info ... I have a couple of looms made up here...

Sounds like a plan. Must have a scrounge around the wreckers soon. Nice to know the second gen stuff will go on as well.

For the key light, have al ook at getting a factory plug out the BEM. Then, simply cut out the pin, add it to the correct position in the BEM plug, and then the correct timer and delay will work for the key light saves splicing into the A pillar.
