Hey guys i have recently purchased some GE Side Skirts of a member and want to put them on my TE.

Now i know the bottom of the skirt is meant to attach to the chassis but i can find any u Shape like clips to hold the 2 together.

Closest thing i have is a set of speed nuts unless someone can suggest a better method to attach the skirts.

I think there are also some tabs that hold the front and rear ends on. I grabbed a bunch of stuff when I was at the wreckers off a sportswagon, but I dont have the instructions for any of it and dont know which clips go where. There is also double sided foam tape along the top side where it sits under the doors. Not sure if this is more for holding it on or stopping rattles.

Dont worry about the tape, not used really as they hold closed when the door is shut anyway

The rear has a stepped bracket that is needed to hold it in place, front is similar, there are 4 u shaped clups about an inch long on each side, they have bits bent out of them to grip the sill panel and the skirt. I am sure you could drill and bolt it if you really had to but first check with a dealer to see if the kits are available

Have just checked with Mits, the Mits is listed as fitting the same as the standard skirt whcih we know is not correct so on this basis I would say that these parts are not available

I do have some odds and sod here from a GE kit but not the complete set

Yea thanks Mal but i did check with the Mitsi down my way and no luck. Might have to use some speed nuts or do some custom work.

Im thinking that if i dont want to drill or rivet the body kit to the the chassis i might just use some Sikaflex to bond the bottom of it to the chassis and use some quick grips to hold it in place while it dries.
