hi,
My beloved Verada KH xi is running well except this two issues..
1. The car vibrates when at signal - foot on break and gear in "D". Where Vibration gets low if gear changed to "N". - but its still there.
2. The car has funny air noise whilst driving.. even if the air circulation is on.

Vibration would be the auto gearbox dying. Mine started to vibrate a couple of months ago and has very gradually gotten worse.
Good thing I'm getting a manual conversion next month lol

How much does it cost???
The funny air noise whilst driving could be a vacuum line dislodged or split/leaking under the bonnet - usually around the throttle body. This will also cause a bad idle.
Otherwise it could be one of a dozen things to cause a bad idle.

AMC Sponsor Mits-Fix is where most members source their manual conversions. Details are here (http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?t=72940).

Hissing can be a few things, if not heard when at full stop may be a bad seal etc
The shaking, if is when stationary but not in N, then could also be things like fouled plugs or injectors, cracked engine mounts etc, generally the vibrations are more present when under low throttle at around 1800rpm in top gear, this is a very noticable vibration

That's the answer. Vacuum leak.

Some imaginative suggestions there. Can I suggest -instead of a wild guess long distance clairvoyant type of analysis - you get someone to look at it? lol
