Just tried the Cruise control the other day and it wasn't working. Tried turning it off and on and also the car off and on. Any one had any problems with theirs? Is there a fuse that may have died somewhere. All the lights still come up.

I will have to get mine in soon too as it runs out of warranty very shortly.

Mine seems to frequently ignore me when I press resume. It's odd because the 'speed up' command, which is the same action as resume, always works.

I think the whole 4+ years I've had my 380 I can recall it dropping out of cruise once, otherwise it has been good. I think when it did play up was around the time I first had the Supercharger tuning done & I had a few bugs in the program ... misfires etc which might explain it.

Try washing your abs sensor pickups at the wheel end of the driveshafts.

Dunno what else would cause that....my front left one failed under warranty recently.

any idea where the sensors would be located?

It's a toothed exposed ring around the wheel end of the front driveshafts.
Easy to see as it has a wire going to a magnetic pickup which you can trace....

I will have a crawl under and see (some people don't have a car hoist and mechanic sized garage in their homes (he says as he fluctuates between shades of green and red)).

Also worth noting their are sensors on the brakes and on the clutch possible they are faulty/misfiring or maybe you are resting on the clutch or brake slightly and not realising.

Hey 380matey. What about the mitsubishi extension they gave per Feb 2008!
all past and future private buyers of new 380’s will be provided with an extension of their already industry leading warranty terms, to six years.

It is an auto and I definitely don't ride the brake or clutch in a manual. Both very good points though. However it seems that it may be an intermittent fault as it worked for me today when I went out for a drive down the expressway. I did one thing that may (or may not) have had a bearing on it working and that was I washed the wheels. Possibly there was an issue with a sensor. Regardless I will still book it in to get it checked out under warranty. That way even if it is out of warranty period and it is an intermittent fault, there is a record of it there and that it was not rectified. They are generally pretty good at honouring something like this. Most people understand the quirkiness of an intermittent fault and how hard it can be to track down. I think Blackie may be onto something with the sensors though. It will be interesting to see if it stops working again if a hose down gets it going. Mmmmm
