I have posted this in a reply here but I would like to hear everybodies opinion on the validity of the Mistsubishi 380 warranty extension that was announced in Feb 2008.
I got this quote from mitsubishi.com.au their independent online magazine.

"All past and future private buyers of new 380’s will be provided with an extension of their already industry leading warranty terms, to six years".
“This clearly demonstrates our ongoing support for this multi-award winning car,” said Mitsubishi Motors Australia Ltd President and CEO Robert McEniry.

Seeing mine is a 10.4.2007 model, that means that I now have warranty till 10.4.2013!
Is that right?
Makes things more comfortable if it is right!

I think "new" is the key word. If you bought it new you should be able to get the warranty extended, but if you bought it second hand I think you're out of luck.

Dunno how it works if the original (from new) owner got it extended, does it extend to subsequent owners or not? I reckon it should.

Honestly often they don't.

I know that if you are not the original owner that you don't get the 10 year drivetrain warranty, only 5.
