Howdy folks!

Just had my car converted to 5 speed tippy, and loving it.

However there is a little annoying feature, which seems to be pretty common amongst 5-spd tippy owners, and that's about a 1-2 second delay in the gear box selecting drive/reverse. It is considerably slower than what my old 4 spd used to be.

I've seen threads over the years on this but can't seem to find much info now (spent the last hour searching).
Did anyone manage to make it shift quicker? Is there anything I can do to help it along?
Any advice on this would be awesome :D.

Cheers guys!

You could try this N-D , N-R engagement re-learn procedure in the last post.

I have had the Mits Techs do it on my 4 speed so it must be a recognised procedure they try. I know it says for the 4 speed models but I'm sure it's more of an INVECS related procedure.

That method works exactly the same with the 5-sp. My car had the slow shifting into drive/reverse problem when I first got it, that procedure has reduced the shift time by about 3 times.
