is there anything special about the quadtech engine in our Verada? its the first time i'd noticed ours has a cover with that sticker , another 3.5 for sale at a local dealer has no sticker. has the sticker just come off?

Quite simply, its just a sticker. every te, th, tj, tl, tw have the same engine it is just a way of promoting....

Almost. There was a camshaft spec change when the TJ was introduced.
Ralliart engines had different specs again.
Other than that the basic 6G74 engine is the same. It's just a sticker advertising that you have AWD.

yeah well we all know that there were slight changes to the cams etc over the years, but its still exactly the same engine...
and i didnt realise the "quadtec" was the AWD's way of advertising....

there are also very slight / minor differences to the block in an awd engine to clear the extra stuff i think. The important parts - internals are all the same though as the non awd 'engines'

only difference on the AWD block is a tiny bit of metal taken off the back.....same as the 3000GT's.....besides that.......same same.

If you ever need to swap, I do know what is required to fit the FWD, Ralliart or 380 engine into an awd, am doing the 5th one this weekend
