Hi
Went for a drive today with the lappy hooked up to the interceptor and noticed the intake temps were up around 50 - 60 deg C :eek2: it was about 33 deg C ambient mind you
Should we richen up the Fuel map at 100% load for these temps? I was sort of thinking 2-3%, but then again the factory ECU will probably compensate, yeh?
Would Ignition timing need to change at all for high intake temps?

just make a CAI - cold air induction.
what you have isnt to bad really though..

If the road is 60deg, and the air is hot, a CAI is going to do sweet FA. Been proven many many times. You don't need to richen the mixtures. Hotter air contains less oxygen. Less oxygen requires less fuel to burn. Your ECU will lean out the fuel mixtures slightly when it's hot. Standard ECU will retard timing in higher RPM's too on hotter day's

according to his profile he already has CAI, which is actually making his temps even worse than the standard setup considering the nominated temperature of 33degrees and 50-60dergree intake temps . how fast were you travelling when you recorded the temps or was this at idle?

50 degrees after about 2 mins at 100km/h and up nearer to 60 degrees when stopped at set of lights for around 3-4 mins
My CAI is a home jobbie with the piping running from under passenger side of front bumper, straight up infront of the trans, so it's obviously running infront of the Radiator slightly, im guessing this is causing my high intake temps (hot air from rad heating pipework)

i insulated my intake ducting up to the afm and my cruising intake air is usually ambient and idle temp is usually +10-20 degrees, which rapidly decreases when moving
