Can i please get a definitive answer on what i need to run a TJ/TL/TW ECU in my TH.

Do i need to change BEM ,keys, ignition locks etc ,or can i just get SKR to unlock the ECU so it will run...

or will this MAGNA TL TW ECU WITH MATCHING BODY CONTROL. IGN & KEY. (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/MAGNA-TL-TW-ECU-MATCHING-BODY-CONTROL-IGN-KEY-/160521869795?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item255fd959e3) work just a well ??

thanks..

Michael

You can either get the BEM/ign/ecu all matched, OR you can just get it unlocked (far more easier).
Talk to Mal, pretty sure he can do it and is alot cheaper than SKR.

I've got a tj ecu here that you can have.. How much do they go for now? Pretty sure I paid 120 for it but that would of been about 2 years ago!

You have 3 options

Get the TJ ecu, get Steve to unlock
Get the TJ ECU, BEM and Keys, swap the whole lot over and rekey the boot as the TJ boot lock will not fit the TH boot lid
Get teh ECU and BEM, get 2 NEW keys precut to your VIN but not coded, fit the new goodies and have someone with a MUTTII code the new keys in. This way is prob the best as you get to keep your locks so getting replacement keys in future is easy, you get to keep the immob which is a little more peace of mind. This is the option I did with my Wagon to keep the immob BUT keep the original key set for the car

As for pricing, (I know you did not ask for pricing and this will certainly offend and upset some people by the fact that I dare to mention a price but stiff shit lol ) I sell ECU/Bem packs to Mits Dealerships for $350 for those up to TJ and $450 for TL/W and $500 for any Manual ones (as these are a lot harder to get hold of)

I also have here what I believe to be the last 2 unused BEM's, had 3 but sold one to a Dealership a few weeks ago, these can still be programmed into an ECU due to being BNIB and never used

Don't you need a manual ECU?

I have TJ Sports Manual ECU ready to go in my car, to be SKR tuned

Maggie will also then need the engine harness as the auto one is different to the manual one
