Hi all,

I'm looking for some insight into brake pad selection.

http://www.bendix.com.au/catalogue?manufacturer=Mitsubishi&model=Magna&variant=&part=

I have a 2000 Magna, TH V6SI (3.5L). How can I identify which rotors I have fitted...preferably without tearing everything apart.

Thanks all,
Nathan.

I would recommend either the

QFM HPX, good high temp pad, many forum members have them and love them, almost no dust and no noise $75.00
RDA Extreme, as above however a little dusty compared to the HPX $will need to confirm price as there has been a price change recently

The TH runs the DB1203 pad

Hving read the title back I can understand why it may have been misunderstood.

Sumitomo, Akibono and PBR are the three rotor brands referenced on the BEndix website. I'm trying to work out which rotors my car has in order to select the right parts.

DB1203 fronts, which rear?

Thanks for the input Madmagna

Sumitomo, Akibono and PBR manufacture CALIPERS not ROTORS buddy.
Your car has the same 276mm rotors every other 3rd gen has (besides AWD/ralliart) and every 2nd gen V6.

Best to take one of your rear pads out and note the number so you 100% know your getting the right pad.

I did read the thread title lol, if you are after front pads

1203

Rear pads

1204

these are the standard pad used on all FWD Third Gen Magna's

Bendix have listed several different caliper brands for years but ignore that, I am yet to see an Australian Delivered Magna Third Gen FWD (non ralliart) with different factory fitted calipers BUT others here with more experience that I have may be able to offer a difference in opinion

Regardless, the brand of X brake component determines which part number to buy. I'll just pull the car apart. No point guessing.

Agreed. I believe one of the first posts I made as a member was asking this exact same question.

But Madmagna is correct, 1203 fronts, 1204 rears.
