hey i was wondering if anyone had pics of the stock exhaust manifold for the 3l/3.5, want to compare to my stock Diamante 30m ones, mainly to see if they are different and modified for the mivec engine to get the extra power, or the same as other 6g72 engines and thus extracters might be a good plan for me. The reason i ask is the stock ones on my 30M look very good, nice smooth curve from head to conversion point, not like other stock cast manifolds ive seen on various cars. also, the headers availible for the your guys engines, how do they affect power delivery and how do you guys think they would go on the mivec where peakpower is made up around 6800 to 7000 rpm? the short 3 into 1 design of the stock ones is usual for making more top end power, which is why im hesitant to change them and possibly ruin mitsis fine work! anyway discuss!

Sonobody has any idea how the aftermarket pacemaker etc headers affect the torque curve? power delivery?

I had a set of pacemakers I believe on my 3.0lt TE when I first bought the car, these were optimum for the revvy engine, allowed me to rev right out. I changed later to the RPW 3.5 "race" extractors and I was utterly not impressed. My mid range torque did increase, I could feel the pull, but I lost EVERYTHING I had in my top end, engine really didnt want to rev up to max rpm any more.
So, if you are lucky enough to find a set of pacemakers and steer clear of the rpw setup, I would highly reccomend it.

cheers guys, sounds like they would suit the mivec engine well.
