Hey guys,

On my way up mt dande tonight, noticed that when i turned to the right, going about 50-60k's there was a knocking sound coming from the front of my car.

Any ideas as to what might be causing this? Will be installing my front sway bar soon with a mate of mine whos fairly knowledgeable about cars so he can have a look then as to anything you guys might know about.

Cheers

Knocking noise at the Front Whilst Turning, generally your C.V Joints need repairing/replacing.

Im getting the same thing, i didnt pay attention if it was at high speed, but in my case i can hear knocks when lets say im turing onto highway and have to push accelerator while the wheel is turned..... so i guess time to change cvs.....

Ok guys,

Im getting this pretty much when ever i turn tightly now. How long could i wait to fix the issue? Would there be any residual damage to my car if i dont fix it straight away?

It will be cheaper and safer to explore the problem and fix it as soon as possible. Have a look under your car to see if the CV boots are split and spraying grease everywhere.

Damage wise, joints are stuffed anyways, so if its just cvs then it should be okay to leave them & they will keep deteriorating... Are you getting any vibrations in the car?

No vibrations that I didnt have before. As Vic is consitantly raining this week, i havent had a chance to check the boots
