Probably a dumb question but I want to be sure, When looking at the front speakers of my TJ Magna, i noticed the speakers had a square frame like in the first pic. I'm wondering if the speakers in the second pic fit the same? I'm sure they do but the damn square shape of the first just makes me think they wont have the same alignment.

If they're a 6.5" set of speakers they'll fit fine in the front doors mounts. You'll just need to make new holes for the screws (which, in soft plastic, isn't hard).

What about 6" speakers, will they just fit straight in?

Should do - I used to have 6" and the slotted straight in. However you might as well get 6.5" if you can afford it. Also, if you have to make a new hole in the plastic housing, drill them out first (about half the diameter of your screw) otherwise the debris will push the speaker away from the housing if you just screw it in.

i had an issue with my jvc 6" speakers, the mount wasnt the same. i had to get a little piece of metal on both sides to hold the speaker down
