Gents
It has been suggested to me by my local TyrePower chap who has done the wheel alignment on my lowered (King Lows) TL VRX that I should look at rear camber bolts to adjust the rear camber which has now become a fair way away from where it should be (because of the lowering of the car).
Under an earlier post of mine "Dead feel at straight ahead" Red Valdez has suggested that this is an OK option to pursue.

Have any other members put after market rear adjustment on one of these and if so was it useful.

My problem with the car has been that it does not want to point as stratight as I reckon it should do and I now wonder whether the rear is steering the car to some degree (although a bit of front toe in has helped)

Any comments would be helpful

thx

Can't say weather it will fix your problem or not, but I bought mine with a rear kit fitted. I am a wheel aligner, so when I bought my wifes ralliart I pulled one of the bolts out of mine and bought the same bolts from sprints and used normal washers to make my own kit for around $25

This has definitely improved tyre wear. I took just over a degree of camber out

Same here, longer bolts and washers to space out the rear upper control arm. Replacement bolts need to be hardened steel.

I have done this countless times, slightly longer bolts if your washers are over 1.5mm thick, if not that thick then no need.

Make sure your tensile is correct also

I dont buy the bolts as Magna's have many bolts that are same tensile that are long enough, benefit of having wrecks lying around lol

Yes, Dead easy.
Get the figures from your recent wheel alignment.
Work out how much angular adjustment required on each rear corner.
Simple tape measure distance between bottom suspension and to top inner pivot points.
Bit of trig to work out what distance you need to push the top mount points outboard.
Buy enough hardened and coated washers, as Madmagna said, if 1.5 mm use the existing bolts. otherwise longer 8.8 grade bolts aren't too expensive.
Then it is a simple undo and swap over the bits.

Did a couple of years ago on my AWD, followed up with a very carefull wheel alignment and it just tracks so true.
My mechanic, who does the big stuff and wheel alignments, says that my car is a delight to drive as it "just goes round corners".

What would a 1mm spacer roughly equate to in degree's? Maybe 0.5 degree?

10mm achieves approximately 1 degree of camber adjustment on the rear, based on figures for the nolonger available Whiteline KCA357 camber kit.

All - Thx for the above

Madmagna; you have suggested Magna's have other bolts that will do the trick ie that are longer - are these from other parts of the suspension or from elsewhere on the car

I wouldn't mind knowing which bolts would suit so I could pick up some next time I am at the wreckers.
