Hi all,
I am trying to fix an intermittent fault on a TS Magna V6. It sometimes turns over but does not fire. The problem seems to happen less when starting for the first time in the day, or if the car is parked in the shade. Sometimes lifting the bonnet seems to be enough to convince it to fire. It always fires in the end, but often this is only after the car is left for 2, 10 or 25 minutes. Frustrating!
Somewhere on the forum I saw a list of diagnostic codes and instructions on how to clip a wire to the diagnostic connector and read the codes via the engine light. Try as I might, I cannot find that list or the instructions now.
Please could someone re-post it?
And if anyone has suggestions on how to fix the intermittent start problem, that would be most welcome. So far I have renewed the distributor cap and spark plugs but the problem remains.
