It needs a wheel alignment, the steering wheel is slightly to the left!

I like the fact that the window mechanism is 50% more reliable than a regular 380.

Nah, the wheel alignment is OK. It's just that you have to steer a bit to the left to go straight, as the RHS of the car weighs a fair bit more than the LHS!

Speaking of which, I hate the blokes driving position. He has the seat reclined way too far back and as a result his arms are almost straight.

i actually think that driving position is good.
especially with air bag equipped steering wheels..if you can sit further back and still have complete control and visability , it would reduce air bag injury in a decent impact..
when i see some people drive so close to the steering wheel , you can emagine that their only injuries from a slight impact will be the steering wheel exploding in their face..

that boot spoiler looks so out of place with the lip spoiler aswell...don't like that at all..

That's my point Brad.
That far back from the wheel, with nearly straight arms, you don't have complete control. Why do you think racing drivers use a set up where they are quite close to the wheel?
I'd much rather avoid a crash in the first place because I had good control than sit miles away from the wheel just so the airbag didn't whack me too hard.
OK, we shouldn't drive like in a race on the public roads, and in the vid the guy is obviously in 'slow cruise' mode and no big deal, but I bet he drives like that all the time.
Another funny thing I have noticed over the years is that short male drivers of all ages are the 'worst' for reclining the seat back so far they can barely reach the steering wheel.

When my son & I went on a Driving Course they gave us the following hints for a correct driving position:
1. Your seat base should be positioned so that your feet can comfortably reach the floor behind the brake pedal / or be able to fully press the brake pedal in.
- So that sufficient force can be applied to the brake if needed.
2. Your seat back should be positioned so that your wrists rest comfortably on the top of the steering wheel without having to lean forward.
- This ensures you have better steering control of the car.

We did a slalom course through cones/witches hats before & after the instructor adjusted our seating positions.
With the above position (which wasn't too much different to my natural posy but a bit close to the steering wheel than usual), I did feel better in control, and found the course easier.

...I couldn't help but noticing that Mitsi fitted the high spoiler onto the lip spoiler as i did on my GT.
Looks great in adrenaline...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZruhgkPalWk&feature=player_embedded#![/video]I actually like the high/lip spoiler combination.

Did anyone notice they are driving that side-less vehicle on public streets and the passenger has no seatbelt!

There not on public streets, it is at Whitemans Park which is a National park and Family BBQ/Picnic area. Alot of where they drove the limit is 20

I've never been there, didn't even know the place existed until I saw this video, but I would say they are slow cruising on a network of roads within the grounds of the motor museum? Just can't see any serious historical group/museum going to that much risk? If you went over some of those speed bumps faster than walking pace, the passenger could fall out :) As a passenger, I'd be wanting to drive lol

Every time I see your avatar I feel like paste-ing a spoiler on it.
It looks a half finished clay design....lol.
Don't make me spew... i don't need mad downforce :)

i didn't mention anything about low impacts in 380's...just vehicles in general. i've seen some interesting airbag injuries over the years..worst was from a VX commodore with only low vehicle damage.
surely you've seen women especially, that drive with their arms bent so much that there norks are caught up in the steering wheel spokes..their head will be on the steering wheel before the bag has gone off.. :)

incorrectly seated and sitting away from the steering wheel are 2 different things i believe.
im 6ft and sit with the seat all the way back and with my arms only slightly bent..obviosuly a 5ft person in that scenario would be incorrect....everyone is different.

Sorry mate, don't agree. One major type of incorrect seating/driving position is being too far away from the steering wheel. I'd even go so far as to say that it is the most common incorrect seating 'crime'.

I've done some research and the almost universal advice is as posted by GRDPuck:

"2. Your seat back should be positioned so that your wrists rest comfortably on the top of the steering wheel without having to lean forward.
- This ensures you have better steering control of the car."

A few go one step further and advise that you should also be able to comfortably bend your hands down behind the steering wheel.

No way the bloke in the vid is even close to this position.

The only real disagreement I find is whether "ten to two" or "quarter to three" hand placement is better. I favour quarter to three, just seems more comfortable to me, but the general view seems to be that ten to two is perfectly OK for everyday driving on public roads but quarter to three is better for race driving.

And like you I am 6' tall (or 183cm in the new lingo).

But we're getting off topic here, my bad coz I started this debate, mods feel free to move or delete.
