In case anyone was wondering i was the one who bought supercharger kit from GONE. Water meth kit is on the way from the states, i know few members here have it running with Sprintex setup, my questions:
• At what boost level is it running?
• Where did you place the nozzle?
• Where did you place boost reading sensor (not the MAP sensor, the sensor for the water meth kit)
• How long does the tank last?
• Can you use methelated spirit instead of methanol?

In case anyone was wondering i was the one who bought supercharger kit from GONE. Water meth kit is on the way from the states, i know few members here have it running with Sprintex setup, my questions:
• At what boost level is it running? Mine runs on the Sprintex MAP sensor voltage ~ around 2 PSI start point & increases volume as voltage (boost) increases
• Where did you place the nozzle? I got rid of the 7th injector & ran 6 larger injectors & inject the water/meth where the 7th injector was
• Where did you place boost reading sensor (not the MAP sensor, the sensor for the water meth kit) N/A
• How long does the tank last? I use my water/meth as intercooling not power producing so lasts about 1000 - 1500km (large boot mounted tank)
• Can you use methelated spirit instead of methanol? Dunno, I doubt it would be any cheaper anyway. My 20 Litre drum was abot $60 from memory

Thanks mate, that helps a lot. I will do the same, i.e get rid of 7th injector.

Sorry to go a bit off topic, but with water meth systems why is the methanol actually used?
I know in older aircraft that used water injection the only reason methanol was added to the mix was to prevent the water freezing in the lines at altitude. 100% water increases the density of the airmass far more than a water methanol mix, so as the methanols not needed, And as I'm assuming most people wouldn't have a problem with subzero temperatures why is it still used?

yea i was wondering the same thing....maybe its to make water combustible?

Methylated spirits (metho) is mostly ethanol however they add methanol to make it poisonous (to stop people from drinking it). Chemically they are similar but ethanol has an extra carbon chain, however the number of oxygen atoms required for combustion for each carbon chain is the same so I wouldn't change mixture ratios. However the energy from methanol will be a bit lower so there might be a performance hit depending on how much of it there is.

Isn't methanol hydroscopic and turn to a white thickish paste when introduced with water?
