Hello all!
Engine on my TS is cutting out once the engine has reached a certain temperature.. seems to be fine on the cooler days.. but on the hot days it just conks out when I stop at the lights etc... any ideas? thanks in advance :)
Oh and it's a V6 '96 TS auto...

This started after I put in a new air filter.. the old one was really clogged up.. not sure if this had anything to do with it... But the engine must have been loving the extra flow of air cos when I would take off it would rev alot higher (obviously) but after a couple of drives it felt like it was revving a bit too high and then dropping lower than normal.. Also, sometimes when I stop at the lights the idle drops way low and then the car "splutters" before it comes back up to idle "roughly" at about 700 rpm... would appreciate any help, would like to fix it myself if I can.. gotta teach my GF how to drive =) cheers
Perhaps an ICU issue?

Hey mate,
You may have bumped the MAF sensor plug (located on the airbox) and it may not be sending the right messages to the ECU.
Another possibility is your Idle speed control (located on the throttle body) may be playing up - could very well be the cause of your idle problem.
Make sure your MAF plug is connected properly first, very easy fix :)
Oh, out of the blue, it could be your fuel filter clogging up as well if its randomly cutting out :S

+1 for MAF plug. Also make sure you haven't left any hoses off the intake tubing (vac leaks). Turn your A/C on, and take note if the revs rise at idle when it's switched on. If the revs drop out, your ISC is most likely gunked or cactus.

Thanks for the responses dudes!! Have checked the car, revs increase when the aircon is on and have checked the MAF and all seems ok there... The fuel filter sounds like a good posibility as the car seems to chug up hills when I accelerate.. I look into that, thanks again =)
