View Full Version : 380 seats - fit a TL/W?

Anyone know whether I can easily (ie without modification) put a set of 380 seats into a TL/W? I know this has been done to earlier models, but wondering whether - as the TL/W has factory electric drivers seat - whether this is a simple swap or requires modifications to the seat rails. (Gather the rears will fit OK but may be a bit of a tight fit). Thanks.

If they fit the TE-TJ they'll fit the TL's+

whilst the fronts do fit the TE - TJ's, it isn't without substantial modification to the seat rails, think extra tab welded on to the front of each rail as the 380 'foot print' is narrower than the TE - TJ. I was looking at KL seats Mitsi Boi put into his TH (?) and the seat rails on the KL seemed slightly wider than the norm.

The rears will go in with hardly any modifcation at all, just need to bend the side wire loops for the bolts. That said, the back rest will not sit flush with the parcel shelf, there will be a gap of approx 10mm, very noticeable as the foam shows, and it will not be 'locked in' as the hooks etc are all wrong, it is more wedged in and secured by the 3 bolts along the bottom.

In short, I don't think the fronts will go without substantial modifcation, therefore illegal without getting them engineered and the rears look slightly out of place and aren't secure.

I would be keen to know as well about the fronts.
