Hi does anyone know of any good reliable websites where one can order parts online and actually get service?
I have been trying to get an oil seal www.tscollect.com/images/oil_seal_s.jpg for my Magna tr 4cyl manual transmission and can't find a suitable website.

I even tried [LINK Removed] which advertises itself as supplying genuine Mitsubishi parts but they are slow to respond to email. The baby who I spoke to on the phone (because of the lack of response to emails) said they don't mail out parts but when I queried that policy decided to make an exception, taking my address and debit card details. 5 days and two unanswered emails later I still haven't got the part but at least they didn't have the gall to take the money from my account. Definitely not a company to do business with in my opinion.
So it would be great if someone can point me to a good website.

What parts are you after?

Madmagna might be a go. He has an online store but sometimes better to just PM him on here to see if he has what you need.

I just found i need a new spring/strut insulator, and upper spring seat for the front drivers side suspension.

Did you get a part number off the Dealer and is it MD742053? How much do they expect you to pay for these? Ordered (OEM) either from the states or japan they're about $6-7 each plus the postage. Are these not available as aftermarket?

sorry no I didn't get a part number and even if I had under the circumstances I wouldn't trust it to be correct.
I have been quoted between 13-30 dollars + postage. The thing is that they want me to travel miles to pay the money and charge freight yet won't post it to my home address. They want me to return a few days later just to pick it up.
It is painful for me to travel long distances (meaning more than 20mins) using public transport and if I am paying for the freight then it should be freighted to the address I nominate, especially when I am prepaying for the item and it is only the size of a 50 cent piece.
I did email Madmagna as Dougal suggested and am awaiting a reply.

I found a couple of online stores that are going to ship.
http://www.ntparts.com.au (http://www.ntparts.com.au/)
http://eziautoparts.com.au (http://eziautoparts.com.au/)

So not got it yet but getting it thanks.

Ok I got my oil seal after two attempts. The first time I got Kelpro part 97133 but that was wrong as it is for a ford. The listed Kelpro part is 97113.
http://eziautoparts.com.au (http://eziautoparts.com.au/) changed the order the refunded my money with no problems as they were the ones who got the part number wrong.

I now have what I think is the correct part as it fits over the left hand drive shaft perfectly to make a seal

There is a an inner ring which would fit into the hole in the transaxle case except for the fact that outer part has a raised lip that prevents the inner ring from actually going into the hole. Difficult to describe but there is no way it is going to tap into the hole.

Does anyone know if they are simply making the part different now or if this is the wrong part and if so what is the right part and number?

Hi there,
yes you did reply and I said I had ordered it which I had.
Unfortunately I don't currently have a pic of the actual seal, only where it has to go. www.tscollect.com/images/oil_seal_s.jpg (http://www.tscollect.com/images/oil_seal_s.jpg) There are no images of the part in the Kelpro catalogue. I will try and take a pic with my phone but they don't usually turn out too well.
If you have an image of the one you have I can see if it is the same.

Cheers

Sarah

ok replacement oil seal is here. www.tscollect.com/images/Oil_seal_repl.jpg (http://www.tscollect.com/images/oil_seal_s.jpg)

You can see the inner ring that I mean and that the outer ring is level so there is no way the inner ring will go into the hole because the outer lip stops it. If I cut that off then it would.

There is a spring around the inner rim as there is supposed to be so I am tempted to cut the outer rim off and try except for the fact it is so damn messy and hard to take it off again if it don't seal properly.

Panic over.
When I removed the old one the inner ring had torn away from the outer. Because it was so stiff I thought it was part of the casing but just now I had a brainwave and levered it with a screw driver and voila, it came out.
The new part I have fitted in perfectly with just a little help from a small hammer.
So now I can put the rest of the car back together and wait another 4 weeks until I have the money to register it.
Yippee.
