Hey guys,

Probably a stupid question but i was wondering if anyone can tell me where the IAT Sensor on a 96 TE Magna is?

I cant seem to find it in my cars manual and there doesn't seem to be anything relevant on the net.

As far as i understood it, it's an integral part of the Air Flow meter. If you have the third gen workshop manual have a look at MULTIPOINT FUEL INJECTION (MPI) SYSTEM DIAGRAM section 13A, there's a sketch which implies its mounted within the AFM duct behind the screen, and I think from memory it looks a little like a diode if you have any electronics knowledge.

I just have a car manual which only covers the basics. I don't actually have a workshop manual any other suggestions?

tw2005 was right its a part of the air flow meter and looks like a diode

Ok the IAT sensor was what i thought it was now all i need to know is which of the 5 wires going into it are the Communication wires and which are the power wires?

54C CIRCUIT DIAGRAMS – MPI System,

I just realised I think they have 7 wires, yours must be an earlier version. My magna has 7 butt my 1994 Galant has 5. Not sure what you can get out of those manuals then.
