so i have a jvc rd-406 head unit, i think thats the model number..

and it has an option in the eq to set a USER profile for
BASS
TREBLE
MID
SUBW LEVEL
etc.

what i would like to know is, whats a nice level for each one for playing music such as rnb pop and so on? or a general profile for every genre of music?

i need to know levels eg. BASS ==> Q1.20 HIGH freq, khz etc
as im not sure what they mean... sorry if noone understands what the hell im talking about but theres bound to be an audio person that does!

That.. is most certainly a question that no one will be able to answer for you. That would be determined by speakers used, cabin gain, panel resonance, reflections, xover points, and most importantly... personal taste!

My eq sits dead flat other than a dip at 120hz with a medium roll off and I expect will soon see a dip around 3-4khz also.

Just keep screwing around with it until you get it how you like it, and then change it a week later when you realise you arent totally happy. My tuning has taken over a year to get to where it is and is still subject to slight change once a week or so.
