We are having problems with an ittermittant idle miss under load with the afm/maf plugged in but its fine when not plugged in we were wondering if u could just take the afm/maf out and basically bypass it and whats involved in doing so ie bridging the wires or something a wiring diagram for the afm/sensor would also be very helpful if someone has it
thanks

Not a chance in hell you can do that, sorry to say. there is obviously another problem that lies here.

you say a idle miss under load, how is it in idle under load?
have you checked basics like rotor button and dizzy cap? checked spark plugs?

a TR/TS when working on these
i have forgotten to plug the maf in and wondered why a motor doesnt start

a maf explained pdf on how it works http://www.autoshop101.com/forms/h34.pdf

recheck the fuses on engine management

that maf has to be plugged in to get a runner

at best...... one of the four functions of that maf isnt working properly

try a known working s/h maf if possible

oops i meant it has an itterminent miss at load it was doing it idle and we cleaned out the dizzy cap and rotor replaced spark plug leads and spark plugs and only does it under load now but it will run with the maf unplugged and the miss goes away but plug it in and it comes back i assume the maf is gone to the shitter

If it's a 4cylinder, check the plug on the distributor that faces upward (toward the bonnet). It's common for the pins to build up corrosion and cause signal issues from the hall sensor to the ecu.
