If The TF has the same intake like Tj (mine), then you should get one easy from Autobarn!

Personally I would not bother, they oil up your MAF, they make your throttle plate sticky, they clog easilly with dirt as the oil will not release it and let it drop to the bottom of the box

The factory filter flows better, is cleaner and more efficient

I know there is a mix of reviews on K&N. I can speak from my experience with my 4 speed auto. It feels better for me with K&N, mater of fact i had paper filter to serve while k&n was serviced. with k&n car seems to respond better in early revs. However feeling better doesn't actually mean you are getting any extra hp, given that i didn't put it on the dyno there is no way to prove that. Mal is right about it putting oil of MAF sensor, to me it was not a big issue as i bought MAF sensor cleaner & would spray it of MAF every 40,000ks or so. Ive had it for over 200,000ks in my car until Ive changed to CAI setup also with k&n pod.

When its clean vs clean k&n def lets more air thought, simply put two next to each other & use hair dryer & tissue on the other side, difference is more then noticeable (i have done that). Whether that has any positive effect whatsoever when its on the car is a different story.

Mal is right. The flow the same, the only difference is that the K&N's last longer. If you're looking at a 10 year plan, you might save a little bit of money by getting one :P

Even then you have to buy an additional K&N reload kit to clean it and reoil it :)
