ok guys bought my new gearbox today for $500, only had done 30000km's
found a guy install for $180, who is gonna replace all the seals on it
so he said $230 max for the installation, which includes the seals and new oil
so thats $730 for a 5speed in good nick with low kms installed
:bouncin: :fruitcake :bouncin:
so good deal or wat ?

Not sure but possible sounds okay. Gonna upgrade the clutch at the same time? Could be worth the expence now than paying double the labour in a years time.

ONLY $180 to install???? Mitsubishi charged me $500 just to change my clutch!

is that $180 with the engine in the car?

Meh whats your daikin clutch like? Heavy on the pedal? Grip well?

That price sounds good to me.

yeh 180 they leave the engine in the car, they dont need the engine to be removed, i think theyb just take out the cross member or something and yeh go from there,

the dakain is awsome, its been set up so that its just like havina normal clutch in there, not heavy on the pedal at all, u cant tell the diff,
i recomend it, plus its cheaper to get rather then one from mitsu

$500 for a manual box for a TF? Dam thats cheap, I'd love to get my hands on a manual gear box and do the conversion myself with mates help of course. Although yours wasnt a conversion was it, just a simple swap over, but still manual box for $500, thats a good effort.

Is $700 going form auto to manual or just a new box for an already manual? i've thought about an auto to man conversion but always felt it was too expensive to bother. better off just buying a manual in the 1st place!
