After changing my cluster from this:

Now for some reason when i turn my car off the temp needle stays in the exact same place? and doesn't seem to move at all?
The fuel also stays in the same place when the car is off but the fuel gage is working. (cant remember if its supposed to go back down or not?)
Also on my trip computer it isn't telling me how many km to empty, it just shows --- and i have over half a tank of juice?
All of these things were fine before i tampered with the dash lol
I'm hoping that this has happened to someone before and is an easy fix.
any help would be great!

This has happened to me before,when I pulled apart my cluster lol. The fuel gauge is supposed to stay in the same spot when you turn the car off,but the temp is not,try removing the needle and putting it back but dont push it down as hard, this is how I fixed mine.:D

Sweet that fixed the temp Gage, now I just need to work out why my trip comp wont show km to empty?

You can try to reset the trip computer by disconnecting the battery, but doing this will reset your ecu so car will need to relearn to idle and your radio will reset so you may need a code for it. Or you can just disconnect the trip computer and reconnect it that will just reset the trip computer and nothing else,easier imo.After you reset it, it will say S=sedan W=wagon and 3.0 or 3.5. Select what you have, and your done.:D

My trip comp has done that before when ever I play with the dash or battery. I just leave it and it and it always comes up after a while. (max 1 day)

When on the DTE "---" Screen, press and hold the mode / set button, it will beep and then it *should* give you a range again.

yeah u needa hold down the button for a good 5 secs, and u go through some settings and hold again to reset everything else as well

I've noticed that my trip computer display blacks out every now and then - but it only happens at night when I have the headlights on? Anyone else experienced this? It's not a serious issue and it seems to come back on when the reading changes ie. I hit the set speed warning..
