I was driving my car one fine and hot day and it was sounding usual. halfway through my journey, the exhaust note became louder suddenly from in the cabin and outside. Mind you, I did not hit or scrape anything underneath. The sound is very obvious close to the muffler area. The car still drives well and consumes petrol at the usual rate.

I am suspecting 3 things:

Muffler to pipe gasket seal is worn; or
The internals of the Muffler has just collapsed.

Has anyone had VRX muffler issues like this so early in the car's life? The car is only 6 years old. TW model.

This happened to me, I didnt hit anything/scrape... however i took it the an exhaust shop and a hope developed on the last bend just before the muffler....

just take your magna to your local exhaust shop and get em to put it up on the hoist to see what it is....
